Power of the Tongue..

Christmas Eve was wrapping like any normal day. We exchanged one gift the night before as Ashtyn was preparing to travel and spend the holidays with her dad.

Mom came home complaining as usual lol, but this time of a headache and dizziness.

Minutes later we would find her unconscious and face down in the bath tub.

She appeared to be having a seizure.

The 911 dispatcher provided little comfort or instructions while we waited what felt like an eternity for emergency assistance.

She would regain consciousness and progress from incomprehensible mumbling to standing and apologizing for the scare.

She had actually suffered an aneurysm. The same type that was fatal for her father. Her 2nd cerebral stroke in less than 2 years.

Doctors would report, massive bleeding on her brain, loss of cognitive functions and the need for surgery to clip the impaired artery near her left frontal lope.

Her procedure although “medically successful “

Rendered her unresponsive, minimally conscious, unable to move and reliant upon intravenous nutrients. The family was asked to detail what quality of life we desired for her from this point forward, we were asked about resuscitation and hospice care.  My mom is in her early 50s, she is naturally vibrant and social.

We just couldn’t accept this would be her permanent state.

We made a decision to expect God to perform a miracle. We decided to only speak life. To fast and pray and encourage her until she responded.

Yesterday, mom’s physical therapist said she had progressed so quickly she was ready to go home. She is taking phone calls, singing and cracking jokes. She can walk unassisted across a room.

You can’t tell me nothing about my God and the mountains he will move on the smallest seeds of faith.

Thank you to my hubby for all of his support and patience during this difficult season and to everyone who kept her in prayer.

Tell your mountains your Father in Heaven said get TF on..

All praises to the Most High!

Amen.
